about

This is the first track we ever wrote as a fourpiece. Someone once said to us they could tell it was our first because the whole thing sounds like "yay! We're a band!" Though to be honest, we like to think all of our songs give that impression...

lyrics

Wish you were here on this concrete postcard
To see me
Sinking faster
For your concrete master
Stop souls, stop soul
With everything you owe
The stones that pave our way,
We're awaiting to torch
Into ashes

Woo!

(Kickstart the drive)
21 grams isn't heavy enough
(We're never satisfied)
Uther left his kingdom above
(Did you watch me die)
Shit, he thought, even my best intentions weren't enough
And hope itself is but an obstacle
Houston, it seems we have a problem
Our astronauts have all shot each other
And no one wants to help them

Their bodies bone
Their stomachs to the ground
Their attention on the opposing skyline
Their backs are lit by the flame
Of a purple sunset that they will never see
And by darkness
Their bodies will line the sand

(Kickstart the drive)
21 grams isn't heavy enough
(We're never satisfied)
Uther left his kingdom above
(Did you watch me die)
Shit, he thought, even my best intentions weren't enough
And hope itself is but an obstacle
Houston, it seems we have a problem
Our astronauts have all shot each other
And no one wants to help them

Cus our time swallows back
Cinematic
On this savannah
So turn your heads to the sky
And look at all the pretty lights

(For everyday we watch go by's
Another way to sit and sigh
So I'm never gonna say that I don't try
The sunlight sobs as daylight dies)
