Papa Lazarou's Revenge was a very firm fan favourite of the time. It features what some have said was Wildi's best vocal performance so far, and really signifies the band finally locking in together as songwriters. The title was named after the creepy minstrel character in the League of Gentleman. Lex came to practice with the guitar riff for this one and the whole band loved it. A good long while was spent crafting the song from that starting point and everything came together. We did try and reprise this song for later live shows, but since our style had evolved so much it was sadly too difficult to do. We performed this song as an outro at our friend Lin's 21st birthday and that performance remains collectively one of our favourite memories as a band. A few minutes after the track has finished, the album version of 'Carnival' can be heard. The band didnt feel that this version fit in with the rest of the album, as it was too slow and stark-sounding, but they didn't want to scrap it entirely, so included it as a bonus for anyone bored enough to find it.
